High school in France gives exchange students a more structured, academically focused experience with a strong emphasis on core subjects like math, literature, philosophy, and history. Students attend a lycée, where classes are formal, school days are long, and expectations are high—but you’ll gain a deep appreciation for French culture, critical thinking, and lively classroom debate. It’s a great fit for students ready to challenge themselves while immersing fully in everyday French life.
